{Robert Perless sculpture} This geometric sculpture is constructed of mirror-polished stainless steel and prisms which, when struck by sunlight, project the colors of the spectrum on nearby objects. It is equipped with a computerized heliostat that enables it to rotate in relation to the sun's passage through the sky, maximizing the rainbow effect. The sculpture relates to the Castleman Building, which houses the University's School of Engineering and a photonics laboratory. |
