Mike Kachuba, Connecticut State Troubadour for 1996, presents original and contemporary folk music in the tradition of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. His songs tell stories, entertain, and bring together audiences of all ages. Playing hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, guitar, "squeezeboxes," and other instruments, Mike presents songs that beg for audience participation. Performances, workshops, and residencies utilizing the classroom curriculum include: "An Introduction to Folk Music," "The Music of Math," "Connecticut In Song," and "Songwriting Through the Curriculum."
