Museum Docent Training

May 13 – Museum Guide Lisa Joseph will lead an in-depth tour of the museum, focusing on the installation "A Place at the Table," the portrait of Prudence Crandall, and the museum collections.
May 20 – Participants will attend the No Small Courage Symposium “Lives and Legacies.”
For ages 14 and over.
Cost: $25 (includes materials and a ticket to attend the Symposium)
Training and Symposium sponsored in part by the State of Connecticut's Department of Economic and Community Development and supported by the Canterbury Lions Club.

No Small Courage - A Symposium: Lives and Legacies, Part 2

Speakers include Dr. Anna-Lisa Cox ("No Distinction Shall be Allowed on Account of Complexion"), Dr. Barbara Beeching ("Hopes and Expectations and What Came After"), and Dr. Jennifer J. Rycenga ("Where in the World Was Prudence Crandall? Her Forty Quiet Years").
