CONNECTICUT OFFICE OF TOURISM TO LAUNCH NEW CONNECTICUT ANTIQUES TRAIL WEBSITE – INVITES ANTIQUES DEALERS AND AUCTION HOUSES TO PARTICIPATE

New Website to Showcase State’s Depth in Antiques, Offers Antiques Resource to Visitors and Residents

The Connecticut Office of Tourism invites Connecticut antiques dealers and auction houses to participate in a new statewide Connecticut Antiques Trail website, scheduled to launch in April 2014.  The new website features the Connecticut Antiques Trail – a statewide representation of antiques dealers and auction houses – and will be part of the state’s official tourism website, www.CTvisit.com.

“Not only does Connecticut have a rich history in antiquing, but there is also tremendous interest, knowledge and expertise in the American and international antiques industries here,” said Randy Fiveash, director of the Connecticut Office of Tourism. “We look forward to partnering with Connecticut antiques dealers, auction houses and key folks in this industry to develop a robust and informative Connecticut Antiques Trail for our visitors and residents.”

Qualifying antiques dealers and auction houses receive a complimentary business listing on the website. To inquire about including your venue on the Connecticut Antiques Trail or for more information, contact Jean Hebert, Connecticut Office of Tourism, at Jean.Hebert@ct.gov or (860) 256-2739. Deadline for submitting information is March 10, 2014.
