2014 Connecticut Conference On Tourism Will Be Cutting Edge

Tickets now on sale for state's major tourism event 

 

The annual Connecticut Conference on Tourism (CCOT) proudly announces that tickets are now on sale for its 2014 major event held at the Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford on Thursday, April 24th.

 

The Conference will explore new and exciting ways for Connecticut based attractions to market themselves in the future and bring more tourists to the state for both seasonal and year-round business. Guests will learn about cutting edge marketing research delivered by dynamic guest speakers in a series of interactive workshops and seminars. In addition, the event will include an exhibitor showcase, networking opportunities, and the announcement of the winners of the Connecticut Pineapple Awards honoring excellence in tourism in the state. 

 

Tickets for this all day symposium are priced at $149 (for all day pass) and $59 (for the networking reception and awards ceremony) if purchased before February 28th. Ticket prices are $159 and $69 after February 28th. Attendance at CCOT offers guests the opportunity to learn best industry practices and successful strategies to improve business productivity and performance. Practical takeaways and new insights will be shared on current travel trends and emerging markets.

 

Registration for the CCOT starts at 8:00 a.m., followed by a breakfast reception at 9:00 a.m. The seminars and workshops will take place in the morning and afternoon, followed by a late afternoon networking reception.  The educational seminars and informational workshops will offer participants tactics, techniques, creative ideas and innovative solutions on how best to navigate the ever-changing business climate.  Nationally known experts and industry leaders will share news, strategies and insights.

 

CCOT concludes with a presentation of Pineapple Awards to honor volunteers and companies that have demonstrated excellence for tourism in Connecticut.  AAA will also acknowledge its distinguished four and five Diamond Award winners for lodging and dining in Connecticut.

 

The Connecticut Conference on Tourism will be held in collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Connecticut Office of Tourism and the state’s many tourism partners.  The Conference allows travel and leisure businesses from throughout Connecticut to meet one-on-one with high profile tourism experts and leaders.
