Selection Process

Interested organizations must e-mail a letter of intent, including preferred dates for the exhibit and five images showing the items to be displayed. Exhibits must remain on display for a minimum of three months. E-mail all proposals to

The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) will review proposals as they are submitted and will make selections based on quality and appropriateness of exhibit timing. All exhibits must be approved by COA and Bradley International Airport. It is COA's goal to provide a diverse range of works to be displayed throughout the year.

While developing an exhibit, please keep the audience in mind. The display should appeal to a variety of airport visitors, including families and business travelers. Viewers will typically have a short time for looking at the exhibit, and many may not be museum or gallery visitors. Creating a display with visual impact is key, and thoughtful labeling with a strong educational emphasis is encouraged. The exhibiting organization is responsible for installation and de-installation, as well as providing all exhibit props, pedestals, easels, etc.
