Arts Project Support

The Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism believes that all citizens should have access to the arts, and that organizations it supports should facilitate ways for people to meaningfully engage in arts activities.  Arts Project Support ("APS") is designed to fund established programs aimed at providing access through the creation of artistic works and/or targeted outreach to audiences and participants.

APS provides matching grants to registered nonprofit organizations, colleges and universities to support a publicly available arts program, such as a performance series, theatre production or intensive arts training program.

Nonprofits must be incorporated in Connecticut for at least two years, have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, and have a minimum two-year history of public programming to be eligible. Eligible projects must also have a two-year history.

Organizations planning to submit an application for support of projects occurring during calendar year 2011 must submit an Intent to Apply by September 16.  The application deadline is October 8, 2010.

Please read the program eligibility requirements carefully before submitting an Intent to Apply.
