Creative Collaboration Grants

Creative Collaboration grants foster collaborations between and among teaching artists, schools, non-profit arts organizations, and arts programs of non-arts organizations. The program encourages the integration of teaching artists from CCT’s Directory of Teaching Artists into a variety of settings. Creative Collaboration grants may be used to fund residencies and professional development collaborations between and among teaching artists and schools; teaching artists and non-profit arts organizations or arts programs of non-arts organizations; and teaching artists and school/arts organization teams.

The application deadline is September 27, 2010 for activities that take place between November 5, 2010 and October 31, 2011.

Please note that this is the last time Creative Collaboration grants will be offered.  The Commission on Culture & Tourism is in the progress of developing a new arts in education grant program to better serve our constituents.

Creative Collaboration grants may support the broadening or deepening of a current program or the creation of a new one. Teaching artists possess a unique talent. They are able to transfer knowledge of their discipline as well as their vision of the world to others. They have the ability to engage children, youth and adults in authentic and meaningful arts experiences. Teaching artists are recognized nationwide for their unique ability to cultivate creativity through academic content areas and in partnership with arts and cultural organizations.
