CCT: FY11 Grants Awarded Feb 8, 2011

On February 8, 2011, the Commission of Culture & Tourism awarded grants from the Connecticut Arts Endowment Fund program, Historic Preservation Survey & Planning program and Cooperative Marketing Grant program. The Arts Endowment is funded from the Connecticut Arts Endowment Fund (C.G.S. 10-406, 408, inclusive). The Survey & planning grants are funded by the Community Investment Act (C.G.S. 4-66aa) and the Cooperative Marketing grants by the general fund appropriation to CCT entitled "Culture, Tourism & Arts grant".

The Commission is committed to supporting our cultural, artistic, historic preservation and tourism organizations so that they can achieve their goals and continue to create and maintain jobs and add to Connecticut"s economic vitality and quality of life. Our grant programs help the Commission in that endeavor.

The grant programs from which funds were awarded include:

  • Connecticut Arts Endowment Fund - was established by the State of Connecticut to stimulate the development of private sector funding and help stabilize arts institutions.
  • Survey & Planning -  supports wide range of historic preservation activities of non profits and municipalities.
  • Cooperative Marketing Grants (Co-Op) - are intended to provide valuable strategic marketing partnerships to all CCT constituents and to enhance the efforts of CCT's statewide marketing.
