CCT: Arts Learning: Arts Access Category

 

ARTS LEARNING: ACCESS CATEGORY

The Access category is for learners of all ages.  The Access category provides funding for exposure to the arts through field trips (within CT); school or classroom visits, performance(s),“informance(s),” and/or lecture demonstrations by artists or artist groups or arts providers.

 

Access grants will not support an organization’s general operational or programmatic costs such as performance or practice fees, staffing classes that require participation fees, etc.  Access Grants are intended to eliminate or significantly reduce barriers to an arts experience for a particular group of citizens clearly identified in the application.   

 

  • Access grants are not intended to provide general classroom art supplies or field trips to organizations outside of Connecticut
  • Access grants are not intended to support classes for matriculating students.

 ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

  • PK-12 Schools and affiliated Parent Organizations
  • 501(c)(3) arts organizations seeking to provide arts access experience(s) in Connecticut
  • Arts program of a 501(c)(3) non-arts organization seeking to provide arts access experience(s) in Connecticut

INELIGIBLE APPLICANTS
Recipients of
Directed Local Funds (aka Line Items) and Regional Service Organizations are ineligible.

FUNDING
Access grant request must range between $500 - $1,000

No match is required

Total project minimum: $500

 

FUNDING PERIOD
October 1, 2018 - September 30, 2019

  • COA will not fund projects that have begun before the application was approved.
